9 things to say when you want to make a girl happy

A guy might think that it’s simple to make a girl happy, but it’s actually not as easy as he might think. In fact, if you say the wrong thing when you want to make her happy, it could actually end up making her upset or hurt instead of happy. Here are some tips on what to say to make a girl happy that can work well in almost any situation and with any type of girl.

1 I'm really glad we're friends.

People often underestimate how important it is to be friends with their significant other. Romantic love goes and comes, but friendship never fades away. So if your girlfriend has been going through a hard time lately, show her you're there for her by telling her that you appreciate what she means to you. The best way to do that is just by saying I'm really glad we're friends. It's simple and straight-forward. Women love hearing nice things from their partners—especially if they've been under stress lately.

2 You're making me a better person.

Girls often need reassurance that they’re doing well. Reassure her that she is making an impact on your life and that she’s making you a better person. It will mean so much more coming from someone who means something to her than just another compliment from a stranger. Make sure, of course, to actually believe what you are saying; compliments that ring false are not at all appreciated. But even if it does come from a superficial place for you, it can still be sincere for her if you really work at believing in it yourself.

3 I like it when we hang out together.

Tell her that she has been on your mind and that you value your time together. If you aren’t feeling overly affectionate or it doesn’t seem appropriate for some reason, simply saying I like being with you will suffice. As long as there is an attraction between you, most girls will find these words flattering.

More importantly, though: Actions speak louder than words; even if she appreciates hearing them from you at first, if your actions don’t back up what you are saying – she won’t believe either one of them in a very short amount of time.

4 I always have fun with you.

I always have fun with you because I enjoy your company. Every time we hang out together, it’s always an adventure! You know how to laugh and be silly, which is good for me since I can be too uptight sometimes. You have no idea how much I love spending time with you. Sometimes I feel like there aren’t enough hours in a day to fit everything in that I want to do with you! That may sound strange coming from someone who has just met you, but trust me; our friendship feels very natural. So whenever we spend time together, it seems like something that was meant to happen by fate—not by accident or chance. So thank you for being yourself and letting me into your life; each day that passes brings us closer to becoming lifelong friends.

5 Thanks for being patient with me.

Women spend just as much time thinking about how men feel as they do themselves. If you’re in love with her, tell her! If she needs reassurance that what she did was worth it, don’t be afraid to express your gratitude. Being in touch with your emotions is important for both genders, but studies have shown that women tend to be better at talking about their feelings than men. So don’t be embarrassed if it comes naturally.

6 You don't take my bullshit.

No woman likes to be around someone who is overly needy. When they feel like they’re being taken advantage of, they’ll either resent you or decide that it’s not worth it. But if you are confident, she’ll never need to wonder where she stands with you because she’ll always know exactly how much effort she needs to put in before seeing any results. This makes her feel safe and secure and happy! Don't screw up: A big problem I have seen guys make when dealing with women is assuming they can repeat their past behavior and have it yield different results. You see, we do many things over and over again each day without thinking about them. If something worked last time, then why should we try anything new?

7 I'm lucky to have met you.

Believe it or not, we're actually lucky to have met certain people in our lives. They might be that one person who's been there from the start—or maybe they're someone who's just now entering your life, but will soon become an important part of it. Either way, I'm lucky to have met you can be an excellent thing to tell a special lady. If she feels similarly about having met you, all the better. It's also nice to give girls compliments; even if they don't reflect their feelings back on you right away, once she gives those feelings time to settle, thoughts like wow, he thinks I'm amazing are bound to come floating back. There are plenty of compliments for girls out there; choose carefully and use them wisely! Your heart will thank you for it.

8 Thank you for always being there for me.

Thanking someone for their support or friendship is always appreciated and makes them feel good. Appreciating them goes a long way—not just because they appreciate being thanked, but also because it’s likely that they will have an easier time putting up with your shenanigans. But don’t overdo it: if they already know how much you value them, there’s no need to remind them! Saying thank you once in a while is enough; after all, giving without taking has its merits too.

9 Even though I know your flaws, I still think you're cool/beautiful/sweet/nice etc.!

Everyone has flaws. When it comes to relationships, though, many of us get caught up in finding someone who is absolutely perfect for us. But is that even possible? In reality, no one is perfect - not even close! Everyone has something about them that we can learn from and help us grow. All that matters is that there's more good than bad about your partner; if there isn't, look elsewhere. Don't be afraid to compliment your girlfriend's (or boyfriend's) good qualities and tell her why she makes you happy...even if it sounds corny or rehearsed; trust me, she'll love hearing nice things from you.
